The main aspects of our cover are:

Personal accident and sickness benefits:

Bodily Injury or Sickness From the first day of claimable absence for the duration of the claim within the terms of the policy and after the expiry of the chosen excess period.
Staff Cover Daily benefit of up to £300 is provided for Full Time Teachers, Part Time Teachers, Full Time and Part Time Non-Teaching Staff and Caretakers.
Age Limit Benefit is provided for and member of staff listed on the policy to an upper age limit of 70 years old.
Maximum Period Benefit applies during term time only to a maximum 190 days per year. This shall be extended in respect of support staff on annual contracts at no additional cost.
Reduced Benefit As is industry standard the Daily Benefit for all claims will be reduced by 50% after 100 working days of continued absence.

Additional benefits as standard cover:

Maternity Cover/ Adoption Leave This is a standard lump sum payment of £3,500 per claim (or 25 times the daily benefit whichever is the lesser). There are options to enhance the benefit at an extra premium cost which we would be delighted to discuss should you be interested.
Paternity A one off payment equivalent to 5 times your chosen daily benefit.
Compassionate Leave A one off payment equivalent to 5 times your chosen daily benefit where a member of staff (subject to being covered on the policy) is absent due to the loss of a close member of the family.
Jury Service A one off payment equivalent to 10 times your chosen daily benefit in the event of a member of staff (subject to being covered on the policy) is called upon to perform jury service.
Stranded Cover To cover staff who are stranded and cannot get into work e.g. flight delays on vacation, to a maximum of 5 days.
Union Duties To cover time off work for union duties to a maximum of 1 day per term.

Stress Cover Options:

Stress cover can significantly affect your premium. We have 3 options as below which you need to consider in order to capitalise on the most cost effective policy but without compromising on cover.

Option 1 No Stress Cover – this generally applies to schools where the staff numbers are small and the personnel are confident that the likelihood of a claim due to stress/anxiety is very minimal. The reduction in premium cost for this exclusion is 50%.
Option 2 30, 60 or 90 Days Stress Cover – this means that the maximum benefit per stress claim per staff member (subject to being covered on the policy) is limited to 30, 60 or 90 times your chosen daily benefit within a 12 month period. The reduction in premium cost for this exclusion is 25%.
Option 3 Full Stress Cover – this means that cover up to the maximum of 190 times your chosen daily benefit is payable per member of staff (subject to being covered on the policy) within a 12 month period.
